As requested, below are the requirements for a Silver Star Service Banner. These requirements come down through history originating with the American War Mothers. They defined wounded as those who have been “invalided” home.

We also worked with other organizations to refine the requirements. Basically it means anyone wounded, or contracted a life changing illness or injury in a war zone.

We provide a Service Banner and Certificate free of charge provided by our membership. Each Banner and Certificate are numbered and can only be issued in the name of the veteran or service member.

We also provide V.A. food coupon books to our less fortunate veterans to buy food at V.A. Medical Centers.

Our chaplaincy provides Prayer Blankets to our hospice veterans.

We have many other programs to assist our veterans.

We provide advise for observing Silver Star Service Banner Day as designated by Congress. May 1st of every year.
