2022 Armed Forces Day Parade in Chattanooga, TN

Major Christopher LaBanca and members of the 241st Engineering Installation Squadron recently had the honor of participating in the 2022 Armed Forces Day Parade in Chattanooga.

This is the 73rd year for the event, making it the longest continuous armed forces parade in the nation!

The Armed Forces Day celebration in Chattanooga started in 1949.  It is sponsored by the Chattanooga Area Veterans Council.

Congressional Medal of Honor Recipient, Charles H. Coolidge, was among the World War II heroes riding in the first parade. Each year, the parade focuses on one of the six military services.  Although this is “Marine” year, all branches of the military are honored, both past and present.

Col. Jay Jackson, Director of Staff-Air, Joint Force Headquarters, Tennessee National Guard, served as the  TN ANG representative.
